1.There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
2.We can’t live without water, but now the water was polluted. It is the biggest problem. It influences our daily life. So we should find a way to solve this problem. Water is important resources. In our daily life, we often leave the tap on after cleaning hands. Sometimes we often drop litter in the river. So the water was polluted by us. I think we could use a bottle of water two or three times. We have to turn off the tap after cleaning hands.
Let’s try to form a good habit and save things around us. Let’s do it from now on!
Fish can’t live without water. Plants can’t live without water. People can’t live without water, either. As you can see, the water is very important to us. But now drinking water is leand less. The water was polluted seriously.
So we would act quickly in order to save the water, But what must we do now? I think we can plant trees, clean the banks of the river, water the plants by using used water. Turn off the shower while we are washing hair. And we shouldn’t drop litter into the river and so on.

In my opinion, I am convinced that we can not only develop urbanization, but protect our environment.
It is a common sense that development of urbanization can bring us benefits, such as wealth and technology. only in this way can our living quality promoted. For instance, many equipments and machines are the outcome of technology by developing urbanization. In addition, the situation that there are a large amount of people who own cars in recent year, which makes local residents' life more convenient. The economy improves quickly and we become wealthier just because of city development. People can accomplish business with each other without face to face, which promotes the efficiency for traders by development of technology. When the holiday coming, many people will travel to other famous place to relax by planes or trains, which is the result of urbanization. It provides convenience and relaxation to people and make people's life fill with various entertainment. It might be better to reach a certain level of urbanization before the high GDP growth associated with the increase of the share of tertiary industry( Makoto Chikaraishi, 2013). If we hinder the development of urbanization on purpose, our daily life will become inconvenient and boring without these advanced products.
On the other hand, environmental pollution, such as wastewater and exhaust gas, is the matter of necessity of urbanization. It is obvious that industry can result in much pollution, which can harm city dwellers'
health significantly and cause various illness to them. For example, the factory of producing computers will produce more wastage with producing machines. The wastage can be wastewater discharge or exhaust gas emission, which definitely can lead to pollute environment. The wastewater can pollute the river, which means that it can kill all kinds of animals that live in the river. Exhaust gas not only indicates the gas from factory, but the gas from cars. With the increase numbers of cars in the city, the exhaust gas has became a serious problem. They are the main reason for air pollution, which can result in acid rain and global warming. In power plants and combined heat and power plants, fossil fuel combustion results in emitting to the atmosphere first of all SO 2, NO x, CO, particulate matter, greenhouse gases for instance N 2 O and CO 2 (Eugeniusz Mokrzycki, 2007). It is true that urbanization will harm environment.
While, I do believe that we can keep a balance between develop urbanization and protect environment. First, manufacturers should have a strong awareness of protecting environment. It is an effective way to solve problem from the source. If they pay more attention to environment rather than making more profit, they can take some measures to reduce or eliminate the pollution after producing products. What's more, I think governments can do some contribution to environment, which means that they can commit more funds to industries so that they can solve the pollution problems further. Governments can also enact a law that factories have to deal with their wastage in a reasonable and they can check some industries' implementation of the results randomly. I think this system with supervision can be an efficient way to prevent environmental
pollution. Increased regulatory attention in controlling pollutants has encouraged the development of water quality trading programs over the past several decades. These trading programs could provide the mechanisms to cost‐effectively achieve water quality objectives (Juliana Corrales,
2013). Besides, We can see that starting to implement a policy that drivers can not drive every day but in some special day or time due to their cars' numbers in China, which indicates that governments have already done something meaningful to protect environment. In my opinion, developing urbanization and protecting environment, we can do them both.
Urbanization can eich our life and make our life more convenient, but we can not ignore environment. We have to balance them in a suitable way so that we can promote urbanization and make environment better because environment is important for human's sustainable development.

Environmental Pollution
I read a piece of news recently. It says that in Japan marly businessmen ave selling fresh air to customers.and now it is becoming more and more
popular. Why? --Fresh air is getting less and less in Japan, and so is it in the U. S. A.
In fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.
it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial
production and increased consumption of goods. Bedsides, the use of chemical substances
in agriculture also causes environmental pollution. Look at the sky, you can see that dense smoke is being released from the high and big chimneys; those dirty and poisonous substances are flowing into the rivers that we use for drinking water and millions of tons of waste products are heaping around us.How to change this condition? 城市的环境-The Surroundings in Cities
We have to admit that, comparatively speaking, our cities are not so clean and green as those in the developed countries.
There are not adequate trees, lawns and flower-beds in such big cities as Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. We should make our cities greener by planting more trees, grass and flowers. A green environment can bring us pleasure, beauty and fresh air. Trees, lawns and flowers will make our cities more pleasing to both the eye and the mind, improve the weather conditions and provide fresh air, all of which will no doubt do us a lot of good.
I suggest that the whole city go all out every spring to plant new trees, build new lawns in and around the city, and everyone should take care of and protect the trees, lawns and flowers, and educate the children to love them. Then year after year, our cities will become greener, more beautiful and livable.
水源污染-Water pollution
Water is used in homes, in farming, and in manufacturing. The water used by the people comes from oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams. Many water sources are becoming polluted.
People are throwing things into the water. Factories are dumping waste materials into the water. Cities are dumping sewage into the water. Some water sources have become so badly polluted that the water cannot be made fit to use.
Would you like to drink water that came from a source that had been so badly mistreated? Now is the time that we should take up our responsibility to protect our environment from being polluted.

Who is willing to drink the polluted water? It can cause us to be ill and even to die. We can't wait for a moment to protect our water sources. The water we use comes from oceans, lakes, rivers or streams. But many of these water sources are getting seriously polluted. Towns and cities are pouring dust into the water. Many people are throwing all kinds of dirty things into the water. Factories are pouring waste material into the water. Reduce Waste on Campus(减少校园污染)
As is known to all, waste on campus has become a more and more serious problem. We can easily see many students dump a lot of food in the garbage can. Some students spend thousands of yuan buying fashionable clothes and so on.
The negative effects of waste can be shown in the following aspects. In the first place, it makes some students dependent on their parents for money, which is harmful to their development.
If they don’t learn to support themselves, they will be “useless people” when they graduate. In the second place, it is not easy for our parents to arrange for our schooling. Last but not the least important, there is no denying the fact that our country is still poor. There are many people who cannot go to university and many poor people still need our help.
As far as I am concerned, I should set a good example to reduce waste on campus. First of all, I will refrain from wasting anything, from food to stationery. What’s more, I’m determined to call on more schoolmates to fight against waste. Only through these measures can we hope to reduce waste on campus.
Water Is the Source of Life(水是生命之源)
As the source of life, water is indispensable to human beings. People consume much water in production and daily life. Agriculture and industry account for most of mankind's water usage. Without adequate water supplies, human future is threatened.
Nowadays water shortages touch a large percentage of world population. According to one UN study in 1999, nearly one in five people lack safe and clean water. Water elated diseases in some areas are killing people. Population explosion and water pollution make water crisis increasingly urgent. Water related problems are likely to worsen in the foreseeable future.
The situation is really alarming. Therefore, immediate and effective measures must be taken to protect and exploit water resources. Remember; where there is water, there is life. If we could not make proper use of water resources on earth, the last drop of water would be our teardrop.
The Water Cycle(水的循环)
Water can change from one form to another. The heat of the sun evaporates water from the oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. The heat also evaporates water from the ground and from plants and animals. Water vapour is formed. This forms clouds in the air.
When the clouds come near a mountain, they are forced to rise. As the clouds rise, they are cooled. The higher they rise, the more they are cooled. This causes more and more water vapour to condense. In this way, the tiny drops of water in the clouds get bigger and bigger until they are heavy enough to fall to the earth as rain.
Some rain water which falls on the earth is again evaporated. Some of it sinks into the ground. It may be used up by thirsty plants. It may reach a well or a spring. Most of the water goes back to the rivers, seas and oceans. This process then starts all over again. This process is called the water cycle.
Reuse the Wastes(废物利用)
我们在日常生活中产生少许多废物，比如像用过的纸张飞旧报纸、用过的塑料袋、罐头筒、瓶子等等~所以充分利用废品是十分重要的~
In everyday life, we have a lot of things, such as used paper, old newspapers, used plastic bags, cans, bottles and so on. It is important to make good use of the waist things.
There are some ways to reuse the wastes. The used plastic bags can be used to contain our family rubbish. The empty tins can be made into ashtrays. We can also make the used bottles into different kinds of handiwork. That will make our rooms more beautiful.
If we don't know how to reuse the wastes, we can sell them to the recycling station.
There are many other ways to reuse the wastes. If we try our best to recycle the wastes, there will be less waste and less pollution in our life.
To cherish the environment is tolove ourselves.
Pollution(污染)
As the world is getting more densely populated, pollution presents a severe problem. More people make more waste. All this waste is polluting our surroundings.
Pollution has a bad influence on our life. The air is polluted by the smoke and fog coming out of the factory chimneys. Plants die for want of fresh air. The river is polluted and the fish are unfit to live. There is noise pollution made by cars and factories, etc, which hurts the ear.
It is high time we did something about pollution. I suggest more trees be planted to keep the air fresh. We should purify the water and make use of the wastes and turn harm into good.
By cur common efforts, we will make a clean and purified environment for life and work.
