In recent days, a series of powerful measures are made to be against corruption, the issue having been existed historically. And the corruption is defined as the abuse of public power for private benefit.
In fact, the phenomenon of corruption in china can be hardly avoided. The one main reason is that the struture and culture of Chinese government. And such kinds of corruption like bribery and embezzlement are resulted from the absolutely superior subordinate
relationship, influenced by the institution of the feudal society. Another reason resulting in corruption is rapid development of domestic economy. Much more emphasis on increasing of economy and more ignorance on controlling of the officers’ behaviors exacerbate this phenomenon of corruption.
And what is the consequence of the corruption? As the result of corruption, both central and local government sectors can not achieve their performance as expected, and the efficiency of them become especially low. And with the corruption, people’s benefit can’t be protected, so that people’s satisfaction with the government will reduce. What’s more, if not being defeated powerfully, the corruption may destroy the social harmony.
Corruption is extremely terrible, so strict laws should be legislated to suppress this awful phenomenon.
